i really suck at having a decent judgment in painting

cos i never studied it seriously

there are way too many streams

and its history is so big

and im super hard to convince

(like, in my academy, in the painting department

80 per cent of what i see

doesn't move me)

and i can't focus too much in front of a painting

im more touched by the texture in general

or when its really really conceptuals

or with a lot of details

but i know that i have a crush for Friant

who was a french painter from the 19th century

(plus, was coming from where i come from)

and he was depecting the life of the population

at that time. for me its so well done

its naturalism

i cant help but being fascinated by all this kind of painting

even academism

cos even is the subjects were a bit poor (always antiquity, nude)

its just so so so so well-done and perfectly tecnichally.

and for Friant, it looks like photos, almost.
